The engagement.
For energy efficiency technologies to reach scale, consumers need access to appropriate financing, but the barriers women face in accessing that financing are poorly understood. Belli Advisory conducted a study for PSFU under the IMEU programme examining consumer financing opportunities and gaps for energy efficiency technologies on the demand side, with an explicit focus on women beneficiaries and owners. The study engaged 30% women-led or women-owned energy enterprises, achieved 70% women participation in Focus Group Discussions, and 50% women engagement in Key Informant Interviews, providing detailed, gender-disaggregated insights into the financing challenges and opportunities specific to women in Uganda's energy sector.
