The engagement.
Understanding the market potential for electric cooking requires granular, gender-disaggregated data, data that did not exist for Uganda's grid-connected households. Belli Advisory conducted a baseline study under the EnDev Innovation Fund Window to expand market intelligence on e-cooking usage and consumption, with a focus on Electric Pressure Cookers (EPCs) across Uganda's North, Central, West, and East regions. The study assessed adoptability, product-market fit, and willingness to pay, while collecting gender-disaggregated data from 20 households, 30% women-led, to understand women's participation in clean energy markets and their financial readiness and market behaviour. The findings provide a critical evidence base for the scale-up of e-cooking across Uganda.
